Hopefully you are having a blast getting ready for this new year of learning and growing in faith with your young people. I know how busy this time of year can be, and I for one am feeling the hours slip away as I work to get ready for the start. In order to help remedy this, it’s a good thing there is a YOUTH MINISTER HOLY HOUR scheduled for next week Tuesday. Here are some details:
If you can make your way to Madison:
10:45 – 11:45am: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
12:45pm: Lunch at the BOCC + Service Project
(If you are able to stick around for an hour or two, the ladies of the OEC would be happy to order lunch for anyone who would like to chat and hang out while helping prepare the fancy new Standards Binders that need to make their way into the Parishes & Schools.)
If you cannot make your way to Madison:
Morning: Spend an hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament or at Mass praying for the intentions of the youth in your Parish and throughout the Diocese, as well as all of those dedicated to working for them.
I look forward to being united in prayer with you all, even more than we already are!
As I have been using my afternoon to prepare for teaching a Seat of Wisdom course on the Creed a number of times this next month, I stumbled upon an incredible video. Watch this. You won’t be disappointed that you used three minutes to be so inspired.
Pray it. Love it. Live it.
And a little wisdom from the Catechism to top it off:
Believing in God, the only One,
and loving him with all our being
has enormous consequences for our whole life.
– CCC, 222
I hope to see many of you out for the courses coming up this month, joining together with our wonderful Catholic school teachers, to learn the faith in a more intense way!
Are you a supporter of Love Begins Here? Great. We look forward to sharing with you the successes and highlights of this summer with you at our Annual Shareholder Dinner.
The following are the basic details:
Place: St. John the Baptist, Waunakee
Time: 4:30 – 7:00pm
Date: Sunday, August 19, 2012

We’re ready for ROUND 2 of our training days. Today, we’re focusing in on sharing this powerful message with High School students!
Again, please use the comment field below to join in on the conversation here on the world wide web. We would love for you to share wisdom, questions, inspiration and ideas that came to you during the training.
Brian has loved sharing with us the powerful truth behind Pope Paul VI’s words the past couple days:
“Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses.”
We are super excited to have Brian Butler in town to give us all kinds of wisdom and insight on sharing Theology of the Body with the Middle School age teens in our lives.
We’ll update this pages with highlights and photos after the day is wrapped up, but we would also welcome thoughts, insights, questions and reflections from the attendees during the day! Please use the comments section in this post to join in on this online conversation.
Super epic quotes from Brian Butler:
We need to keep in mind that in our missionary activity God always has in mind first and foremost our own salvation.
… on the brokenness in the garden:
We try to derive the infinite from the finite, and we destroy ourselves in the process.
… on talking about contraception with Middle School youth:
The Church teaches us that intrinsically love and life always go together. We need to teach the same.
